Lac La Biche County has announced the new IPC Aquatics Centre will officially open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 17. The new facility will feature a lazy river, a teaching and leisure pool, a six-lane competition pool, a waterslide, two hot tubs, and an outdoor patio with another hot tub.
A private grand opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, October 16, which will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with government officials and recognition of project sponsors.
The opening of the IPC Aquatics Centre marks the completion of one of Lac La Biche County’s largest recreation projects in recent years. Construction began in 2024, with major work continuing through 2025 and 2026 to complete this significant addition to the Bold Centre.
