The Lacombe Museum is opening up a new exhibit on September 17 dedicated to the Lacombe Research and Development Centre. An opening launch party will take place that day from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Flatiron Building Museum in Lacombe.
The exhibit, titled “1907 – 2026: A Legacy in Research and Development,” will showcase the history of the research and development center by sharing stories and photographs of those who have contributed to its past.
“This is a timely exhibition, especially in light of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s imminent decision to close the Lacombe RDC,” the Museum stated in a media release. “This exhibition will highlight the Lacombe RDC’s significance not only in the region of Lacombe but across all of Canada.”
The exhibit will remain open until November 15.
