The 2026 Neyasweyahk Native Classic Rodeo returns to Maskwacis at the Panee Memorial Agriplex in Maskwacis August 28-30, bringing riders, families and community members together for a celebration of Indigenous culture, horsemanship and rodeo tradition. The event highlights the skills and dedication of competitors while creating an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a weekend of rodeo action.
Will Evans, Interim President of the Neyasweyahk Native Classic Rodeo, tells CFWE the event’s 15-year history that was founded by Clayton Wildcat, and is hopeful that attendees enjoy the horse culture and exciting events in store.
Evans highlights the many fast-paced rodeo spectacles that will be taking place this weekend that will include flying cross jockeys, chariots, chuck wagons, Indian Relay and more.
