Some residents of Cold Lake First Nations will experience a temporary water service interruption for several hours on Wednesday as work continues on the community’s water main repair and replacement project.
CLFN has scheduled the shutdown for Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 8 a.m. to noon. It will affect all residences and CLFN buildings within the designated project area (See Below)
Residents in the affected zone are urged to prepare in advance by storing sufficient water before service is turned off Wednesday morning.Once service resumes, most homes and buildings will be able to return to normal water use. However, four residences on Sesame Street that are being connected to a temporary water supply during the waterline replacement will be placed under a boil-water advisory. The affected addresses are:
- 964 Sesame Street
- 963 Sesame Street
- 962 Sesame Street
- 960 Sesame Street
The advisory for these four homes will remain in effect until water testing produces satisfactory results.
CLFN notes that residents may notice temporary changes in water quality as service is shut down and restored. The disruption is part of the Nation’s ongoing infrastructure work.
