The PCFA(Ponoka Filipino Community Association) is getting set to host its Funfest on August 29 at Centennial Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The family-friendly event will include vibrant culture performan, Filipino food, games, activities, and more.
Founded in September 2024, the PCFA organizes gatherings, meetings, and cultural celebrations to bring the community together. This year, they were awarded the best overall float at the Ponoka Stampede parade.
“The goal is to ensure that we are engaged with the community,” said Beth Dela Cruz, the association’s vice president. “It’s a celebration of our Filipino culture, bringing not only our community together but also welcoming the Ponoka community.”
“We want our Canadian friends to join us, and of course, there will be delicious Filipino food!” she added.
