The new IPC Aquatics Centre is entering its final stages of construction at the Bold Centre, with officials highlighting the project as a major investment in recreation that will soon provide residents with expanded swimming, fitness and community programming opportunities.
Alex Fuller, Communications Officer with Lac La Biche County, tells CFWE the project is in its final stretch, with community members eagerly awaiting the aquatics facility’s completion after a three-year wait.
Fuller highlights the IPC Aquatics Facility’s amenities, including a two-story waterslide, lazy river, outdoor barrel sauna and hot tub.

Fuller adds the new IPC Aquatics Facility brings big-city amenities to a small community, while giving residents a modern pool that will create new memories while many residents reminisce the Portage Pool in Lac La Biche.
