Motorcyclists and supporters will gather at Blackjack’s Roadhouse on August 8th for the 7th annual Ride to Reconciliation, uniting communities to honor reconciliation while raising awareness of Indigenous history, culture and the ongoing journey of healing.
Jessica Desmoulin of the Red Spirit Women’s Riding Club tells CFWE the event helps create awareness, compassion and community connection, welcoming everyone to attend – with or without a motorcycle.
Clarence Shields, Owner and Operator of Blackjack’s Roadhouse, highlights a motorcycle will be raffled off, with proceeds supporting Creating Hope Society. He says the event celebrates community while standing in support of those impacted by the Residential School system.
