Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating an early-morning act of vandalism that caused significant damage to three Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Transit bus shelters on Sunday, July 20, 2026.
According to transit officials, the damage occurred between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. in the communities of Eagle Ridge and Timberlea.
All three shelters were heavily damaged.
Affected bus stops include:
- Sparrowhawk Drive and Killdeer Way – Bus Stop #7024
- Brett Drive and Blanchett Drive – Bus Stop #7058
- Eagle Ridge Gate and Sandpiper Road – Bus Stop #7032
Police have not released details on the extent of the damage or the estimated cost of repairs.
No suspects have been identified at this time.
