The Sylvan Lake Gulls will bring the Western Canadian Baseball League’s marquee mid-season event to Central Alberta, hosting the 2027 WCBL All-Star Game.
The two-day celebration is scheduled for July 12 and 13, 2027, and will feature a mix of on-field competition, community activities, and fan experiences. Plans also include a celebrity slo-pitch game and the WCBL Home Run Derby.
“This is a historic moment for the WCBL,” said Aqil Samuel, President and COO of the Sylvan Lake Gulls. “Our seventh season is the perfect time to host this event, we want players, coaches, fans, and dignitaries to leave knowing they’ve been part of something unique”
For the first time in league history, the game will feature an International Team versus Team USA format, replacing the traditional East versus West matchup.
Season ticket holders will receive the first opportunity to purchase tickets beginning in September, with remaining tickets expected to go on sale to the public in the new year and that additional details about the event will be released in the coming months.
