Cold Lake Air Show Set to Thrill Crowds This Weekend

The wait is almost over for one of Western Canada’s biggest aviation events, as the 2026 Cold Lake Air Show prepares to light up the skies over 4 Wing Cold Lake.

This weekend’s spectacle is expected to draw thousands of visitors to the Lakeland region.

Attendees can look forward to high-energy aerial performances, impressive military demonstrations, and plenty of family-friendly entertainment.This year’s program boasts a strong lineup of Canadian and American talent, blending cutting-edge military jets, vintage warbirds, and skilled aerobatic acts.

Cold Lake Air show Performances Include:

• The United States Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team, which will highlight the stunning agility of the advanced fifth-generation stealth fighter.
• The Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Tactical Demonstration, showcasing Canada’s premier fighter jet in action.
• The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, delivering their signature precision formation flying.
• The Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks Parachute Team, famous for their daring jumps and colourful Canadian flag canopies.
• Erickson Aircraft Collection’s World War II trio — the B-25 Mitchell, P-38 Lightning, and P-47 Thunderbolt.
• The thunderous Smoke N Thunder Jet Show Jetcar, promising one of the loudest and fastest ground acts of the weekend.
• Ace Maker Airshows with Gregory “Wired” Colyer piloting the classic T-33 Shooting Star.
• Additional performances by Vertigo Airshows, Undaunted Airshows, Neil Harris Aerosports, Luke Penner, veteran aviator Jim Hrymack, and CH-148 Cyclone helicopter demonstrations.

From high-speed passes and tactical displays to nostalgic warbird flybys and breathtaking aerobatics, the 2026 Cold Lake Air Show offers something for every aviation fan, history buff, and family looking for an unforgettable weekend.
