City of Lloydminster launches 2027 budget survey

The City of Lloydminster is calling on local residents to voice their priorities for municipal programs, services and future financial investments as it kicks off its 2027 budget engagement campaign.

The public consultation period runs until Aug. 19.

According to the city, feedback gathered will help municipal administration map out and shape the initial draft of the 2027 budget before it goes to city council for final deliberations.

The city’s budget engagement survey focuses on evaluating current and desired service levels across five core municipal areas:

Transportation services
Protective services
Parks and green spaces
Leisure services
Municipal funding and long-term budgeting

“Municipal budgets impact the services residents rely on every day, from roads and parks to recreation facilities and emergency services,” Mayor Gerald Aalbers said in a news release. “This engagement process gives residents an opportunity to share what matters most to them and help shape decisions that will support Lloydminster’s future.”
