Okîsikow Way Day Marked with City Hall Proclamation Honoring Survivors of Violence
The City of Edmonton recognized Okîsikow Way Day with a civic proclamation and community gathering at City Hall, bringing together Elders, advocates, and partners to honor women and gender-diverse people impacted by violence and to raise awareness of the ongoing crisis of domestic abuse.
Andrew Knack, Mayor of Edmonton tells CFWE it is important to continue advancing this work and hopes more community members will carry it forward for future generations.
