Spring weight limits on gravel roads across the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo will be lifting on Saturday, June 6.
Load limits that reduced some roads to 75 per cent of gross vehicle weight during the spring thaw conditions will no longer be in effect.
The restrictions were brought into place to protect gravel roads while they thawed and dried following the winter months.
Municipal officials say road users should continue to follow postage signage and adjust driving to current road conditions.
Weight restrictions help prevent damage to gravel road surfaces when roads are particularly vulnerable to heavy loads.
