The Asokewin Friendship Centre in Rocky Mountain House will host an International Women’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 7, at the National Historic Site. This will be the third celebration and is organized by the Four Elements Wellness organization at the Friendship Centre.
Dominic Hill, the Director of Community Wellness at the Centre, emphasizes that the celebration aims to foster an inclusive and collaborative community.
Hill noted that while 82 women registered for the event in the past two years, this year they have limited registrations to 60 participants.
