The annual Silver Skate Festival will return to Edmonton from February 6 to 16. This free, 10-day celebration combines art, education, sports, and recreation.
Erin Diloreto, Executive Producer of the festival, tells CFWE that the event tells Edmonton’s winter story.
Diloreto mentioned that the event has significantly grown over its 36-year history.
She also mentioned that the festival recently received a grant from the Edmonton Heritage Council to extend its programming and bring in the First Nations Paul Band and the Alexander Band to participate in the festival on February 7.
