West Edmonton Mall was briefly locked down on Thursday afternoon as a result of a weapons complaint.
It was reported to police that two males were walking near the Bourbon Street area of the mall when one of the males discharged what appeared to be a firearm at the other.
Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or noticed suspicious activity is asked to call the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
According to a video on X, people inside the mall were moved into stores while an announcement about a lockdown played over the mall intercom.
The lockdown was lifted around 1:15 p.m
