RCMP responded to a call of a shooting in Saddle Lake early in the morning on Jan 17. Two women where brought to the hospital and one man is in custody.
Authorities and Emergency Services where called at 5:43 a.m. for two women with non-lethal gunshot wounds on a rural road in Saddle Lake Cree Nation on highway 652. RCMP have stated that a black truck that was a stolen vehicle drove from the scene in a high rate of speed, failing to stop for police. The truck would end up in the ditch with the driver attempting to flee on foot and would soon be arrested.
Robyn Jay Gladue, 21, of Saddle Lake has been charged with possessing property obtained by crime, flight from police, dangerous driving, and failure to comply with a release order.
Gladue remains in custody, with a court date set on Jan 22 in St. Paul.
