It’s Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in Canada. And CFWE talks with Arlene Huhn, Vice-President from the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories about Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and more.
Here are the symptoms of Alzheimer: Memory loss, problems communicating or finding words, trouble with visual and spatial abilities, problems with reasoning or problem-solving, trouble performing complex tasks, trouble with planning and organizing, poor coordination and control of movements.
Alzheimer’s was Canada’s ninth leading cause of death in 2022 according to Statistics Canada. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia in older adults.
