The Town of Ponoka’s annual collection of compostable Christmas trees will start on Tuesday, January 20.
The town will be making one pass down each back alley in Ponoka to pick up trees that have been placed outside for collection.
Residents are asked to place their tree for pick up at their back alley no later than Monday, January 19.
If you do not have a back alley, you can place Christmas trees near the curb at the front of your property, ensuring items are visible for pick up.
Weather conditions could delay Christmas tree pick up. Residents can also take their trees to the Waste Transfer Station free of charge.
