West Edmonton Mall (WEM) will officially kick off the holiday season with the highly anticipated Santa’s Arrival on November 15 at the Ice Palace, where attendees can expect to enjoy a morning of skating, cookies, hot chocolate and a special appearance by Grinch. The Ice Palace will open at 9 A.M., with Santa’s Arrival to start at 10 A.M.
Anna Alfonso, VP of Marketing & Guest Experience for WEM spoke with CFWE on counting down the days for a month for Santa’s Arrival as the day will start off with an open skate and other festivities for families to enjoy.

Alfonso adds that the event has a special meaning, as it kicks off the holiday season with magical decor and the North Pole place is open, along with shopping for holiday gifts is underway in WEM.
Alfonso is hopeful that people can take it all in through the hustle and bustle, with experiencing time with loved ones and enjoying the spirit of the season shared from the events inside WEM and Santa’s arrival.
