The Royal Canadian Legion in Lac La Biche is preparing to honor Canada’s heroes this Remembrance Day. Community members are invited to gather and pay tribute to those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice.
Danny Stevens, President of the Royal Canadian Legion McGrane Branch No.28 in Lac La Biche, tells CFWE that a large parade is planned, featuring members of the Canadian Armed Forces, frontline workers, and the local 2995 Lac La Biche Cadets assembling outside the Legion’s cenotaph.
Stevens emphasizes the importance of honoring veterans and taking time to remember the sacrifices they made during times of war.
Stevens encourages everyone to take two minutes on Remembrance Day to pause, remember, and reflect on the many lives lost by those who made the ultimate sacrifice and never returned home.
