The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre is set to host the Oskayak Summit on October 17 & 18, bringing Indigenous youth together for two days of culture, connection, and empowerment.
Shelia Moerkoert, Summit Coordinator with the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre, tells CFWE she’s excited for the 3rd Annual Oskayak Summit, which will bring Indigenous youth and the community together to celebrate culture and connect.
Moerkoert reflects on the past two years, noting that the summit grows bigger and better each year.
Moerkoert hopes youth will have the chance to share the space and hear stories from guest speakers like Braden Kadlun and Superfan Magoo over the weekend.
