The Canadian Centre for Agricultural Wellbeing has launched a new crisis line for farmers across the country.
The initiative from the Canadian Centre for Agricultural Wellbeing officially started on February 4, and is being called a “transformative initiative designed to address the unique mental health challenges faced by Canada’s farmers, farm families, and agricultural workers.”
Briana Hagen is CEO of the Canadian Centre for Agricultural Wellbeing
Farm Credit Canada is supporting the crisis line with $1.5 million over three years.
It is meant to offer what is called “tailored mental health support” from professionals who are licensed and trained.
