Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating after a body was located in a residential fire on Chipewyan Prairie First Nation, south of Fort McMurray
Early Sunday morning, Regional Emergency Services firefighters responded to extinguish the fire. There was extensive damage done to the residence. One person was found to have been in the residence and succumbed to the fire.
Wood Buffalo RCMP, with assistance from Wood Buffalo RCMP Forensic Investigation Services and General Investigation Section, are working alongside the fire investigator to determine a cause.
