Alberta Crime Stoppers are launching a new Rural Sign Campaign in two communities.
The City of Wetaskiwin and the Piikani First Nation are the first to be part of the new initiative to encourage citizens to be more involved in their area, and help keep the province a safe place to work, live and play.
The Alberta RCMP and Crime Stoppers work closely to report crimes across the province through tips from people that wish to remain anonymous. This new Rural Sign Campaign aims to bring communities together and bring awareness to Crime Stoppers.
Anonymous tips in 2024 given to Crime Stoppers led to hundreds of charges being laid, and stolden property being recovered.
