Firefighters battled a house fire on the Fort McMurray 468 First Nation on Saturday.
Crews from Anzac and Fort McMurray were called just before 9 a.m. to a house fire on Lakeshore Road on First Nation’s Gregoire Lake reserve.
The fire was brought under control within an hour and a half, an excavator was later used to open the home so firefighters could reach hot spots. They remained at the scene until 3:30 p.m.
The Anzac Volunteer Fire Department brought in a pumper and tanker, while the Fort McMurray Fire Department supported firefighting efforts.
They were no injuries reported.
