The Edmonton Oilers are hoping for better results the second time around as the Columbus Blue Jackets come into Rogers Place. The first meeting for the Oil couldn’t have gone worse, not only losing 6-1 but losing Connor McDavid to injury.
Since the loss, Edmonton has seen better days. They’ve gone 10-5-1 since losing to Columbus, vaulting themselves back into the playoff picture while seeing marked improvements in their special teams and, more recently, goaltending.
Edmonton will be returning home for a 3 game homestead, after going 2-1 on their latest 3 game road trip. The Oil will matchup with the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and the Tampa Bay Lightning next Tuesday.
Edmonton will try and improve on their 13-10-2 record, good for 5th in the Pacific Division.
