A 24 year old man from Maskwacis is being charged after a death earlier this year.
Chervaine Saddleback was arrested by the RCMP Major Crimes Unit just last week and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 25-year-old Wyatt Omeasoo, also of Maskwacis. RCMP laid the charges on Sept. 28, 2024.
Maskwacis RCMP were called to assist EMS with a 25 year old male on January 28, 2024 just before noon. Mounties say the male was taken to hospital where he was declared dead. Authorities determined the circumstances of the victim’s death to be suspicious.
An autopsy determined the manner of death to be a homicide, Mounties say.
