Charges have been laid in an incident from last month that seriously injured a man at the Hope Mission shelter in Wetaskiwin.
On August 13, emergency crews were called to the shelter for a report of a 32-year-old injured man. He was flown to hospital in serious, life-threatening condition.
On September 4, a person was arrested on the Samson Cree Nation in connection with the case. The 36-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
The accused is in custody and will appear in Wetaskiwin court on October 1.
