Grande Prairie RCMP are looking to the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an alleged assault with a weapon that occurred in the early hours of September 13th.
When Mountie’s arrived on scene they discovered a 46-year-old male victim, suffering from a wound to the arm. Life saving measures were quickly implemented by officers. The victim reported to police that he interrupted a suspect who was caught rifling through his vehicle. A struggled ensued as the victim attempted to detain the suspect. After being struck with an unknown edged weapon, the male suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.
The suspect was described as wearing dark coloured pants & a black hooded sweatshirt with a large backpack.
RCMP are urging anyone who may have security or dash camera footage recorded on Sept. 13, 2024, between the hours of 4:50 a.m., and 5:10 a.m., in the area of 107 Avenue between 100 and 99 Street in Grande Prairie to come forward and contact the Grande Prairie RCMP.
