Community of Edson warns drivers of rise of wildlife on roads

Over the last few weeks, drivers heading through Edson have noticed more wildlife on the roads, leading to more collisions on Highway 16.With the rise of animal activity, police are hoping drivers use more caution while driving.

Edson RCMP say there have been more than 20 vehicle and animal collisions with many more unreported or occurring outside of their jurisdiction.

If someone is involved in an accident with no injuries and the vehicle is drivable, they’re encouraged to visit the Edson RCMP detachment to file a police report.
