If this mornings skate is any indication, then we could be in for some last minute line-up changes from Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblaugh.
The most notable change will be on the back end for the blue and orange near the blue line, where Darnell Curse and Cody Ceci both took criticism after being on the ice for 2 of the 3 goals allowed in Saturdays game 1 outing.
Vincent Desharnais replaced Ceci in this mornings skate along the second pairing beside Nurse. This is the first healthy scratch that Ceci has seen as an Oiler.
Head coach Kris Knoblaugh spoke about Vinny being back on the ice:
Captain Connor McDavid spoke about his teams depth and also about how getting to the Stanley Cup Finals is definitely an effort by the entire bench:
It is also being said that Evander Kane will be back on the ice following his injury, dealing with some discomfort and lacerated spleen after an awkward hit in game 6 against Dallas. The big forward has waited 15 years for a Stanley cup final , and he utilized the time off during the break and is booking forward to lacing up the skates tonight:
Puck drop in tonight’s Game 2 in Sunrise, FLA slated for 6 p.m.
