- Title: News Reporter
- Location: Edmonton, but travel may be required throughout Alberta
- Term: Permanent Full Time Position
- Report to the Director of Radio, Windspeaker Media
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of Indigenous issues and culture is an asset
- Be a part of the community, live, work, and play here
- Researching and writing news stories
- Voice tracking broadcasts, as required
- Represent the radio station at community events
- Post to social media
- Participant in news meetings
- Participant in air-checks
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Should have newsroom experience or applicable broadcast education
Knowledge of Indigenous culture is an asset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong on-air delivery
Self starter
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment both individually and with a team
A valid driver’s license
Working familiarity with Adobe Audition Wide Orbit is an asset
Ability to use social media (X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
