Maskwacis RCMP are investigating a stabbing that took place on Samson Cree Nation.
On April 12, 2024, Maskwacis RCMP received a report of a stabbing that occurred in the Samson Cree Nation townsite.
Upon arrival, police located a victim who was taken by STARS to hospital with serious injuries. The Maskwacis RCMP General Investigations Section was deployed and has taken charge of the investigation.
Witnesses indicate two suspects forced their way into the home earlier where they sprayed the occupants with a mace type substance.
They later returned, threatened the victim with a firearm before attacking the victim with an edged weapon. RCMP continue to attempt to identify the suspects and are asking the public for assistance.
Suspect 1 is described as:
- Male
- Medium complexion
- Taller and Heavy set
- Wearing a red hoodie and dark pants
- A photo of this suspect is being provided
Suspect 2 is described as:
- Male
- Medium complexion
- Facial hair including a moustache and goatee
- Shorter and slim
