One person is dead following a highway accident involving two semi-trucks, west of Edmonton.
On April 22, 2024 at 11:36 a.m., Evansburg RCMP received a report of a serious collision involving two semi trucks on Highway 16 at range road 100.
Upon arrival, the driver of one of the trucks, a 68-year-old male resident of New Sarepta was found deceased. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP remained on scene for several hours conducting an investigation.
Mounties have since cleared the highway and normal traffic flow has resumed.
An investigation into the cause of the collision has since commenced, according to RCMP.
