Gas prices in Alberta are set to increase in the new year.
The provinces 13 cent per litre fuel tax, which had been suspended for all of 2023, will be partially reinstated at nine cents per litre on January 1.
In a statement, Alberta Finance Minister Nate Horner said possible fuel tax breaks for next year will be evaluated quarterly.
On December 22, the price of regular gas in Alberta ranges between 99.9 to 112.9 Cents per litre
The government said an update on possible savings will come before the end of March 2024
