The Edmonton Oilers are entering year 9 of the Connor McDavid era with another chip on their shoulder.
Even with the likes of McDavid who has 850 career points and fellow superstar Leon Draisaitl with 744 points, the Oil have yet to see the Stanley Cup Finals.
The core group of players remained untouched for the most part with the significant Free Agent acquisition being Connor Brown from Washington.
Tim Shipton is the SVP Corp Communications/GR for Oilers Entertainment Group and tells CFWE that there is a buzz around the team this year with the group continuing to gel together under head coach Jay Woodcroft.
One of the storylines coming from training camp this year is the Goalie room headlined by Calder nominee Stuart Skinner and Lady Byng nominee Jack Campbell.
Skinner took over the crease midway through last season but Shipton said Campbell has a very strong mindset and expects both goalies to have a great season.
The Oilers regular season will kick off with a divisional matchup against the Vancouver Canucks on October 11th.
