Filella says that after speaking with MNA citizens in a 2017 Metis Nation of Alberta Annual General Assembly in Peace River, over 300 citizens stated that they wanted to see a difference being made within climate change, along with reducing greenhouse gases. After the assembly was concluded, the initiative was formed that created the solar panel project now known as ‘Salay Prayzaan’.
