From Thursday, March 9 through Monday, March 13, 2023, the city of Edmonton will come alive with JUNO Week programming, marked by the return of signature events such as:
- JUNO Fan Fare
- The JUNO Comedy Show
- JUNO Songwriters’ Circle
- JUNO Cup
The Edmonton 2023 JUNO Host Committee held the JUNO week kickoff in downtown Edmonton with speeches from Mayor Sohi, Indigenous leaders and members of the Juno committee.
President of the Metis Nation of Alberta Audrey Poitras shared her opening remarks on the return of the Junos.
Alan Reid is the President, CEO – The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences/The JUNO Awards and mentioned the warm welcome him and his members alongside the musicians received when they arrived to the city of Edmonton.
Ryan Reynolds will also make a virtual appearance at the 2023 Junos, and will honour Nickelback for the band’s Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction. Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid will join the band onstage during the honours, and Nickelback will mark the occasion with a medley of its chart-topping hits.
