The Edmonton Elks are offering wildfire evacuees from the Northwest Territories complimentary tickets to their game against the Ottawa Redblacks on Sunday, August 27th.
The Club announced the offer on Monday for any evacuees that have come to Edmonton due to the ongoing wildfire crisis, which has forced the evacuations of communities across the NWT, including Yellowknife.
Evacuees who would like to attend the game can claim their tickets by showing their evacuation wristband, which they were presented with upon registration at the Expo Centre, or by showing their NWT drivers license.
Tickets can be claimed all week at the Elks Team Store inside the Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre (open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), or on game day at any ticket window at Commonwealth Stadium.
Game time on Sunday is 5 p.m.
