The Edmonton Oilers traded forwards Kailer Yamamoto and Klim Kostin to the Detroit Red Wings for ‘future considerations’.
Since being drafted 22nd overall in 2017 by the Oilers, Yamamoto generated 118 points in 244 games including 12 points in 34 playoff games.
Kostin was acquired by the Oilers in 2022 and scored 21 points in 57 games.
The trade will give Oilers General Manager Ken Holland $8M to work with in this years free agency.
