The 10th Annual Chief Aranazhi School Powwow is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd. The event will unite students and staff for a day filled with dancing and celebration and will kick off with a Grand Entry at 1:00 PM
Jasmine Alexis, Event Coordinator for the powwow, tells Raven Radio Network that they will honour Chief Aranazhi while also commemorating 150 years of Treaty 6.
Alexis expressed her love for assisting with the powwow, highlighting how rewarding it is to see the students take pride in their identity and enjoy a break from school and grades for one day.
