A major municipality east of Edmonton is rolling out a new marketing strategy aimed at attracting more visitors.
Strathcona County has announced the official launch of Go Strathco, a new tourism marketing identity designed to elevate the region’s visibility, strengthen the visitor economy, and inspire visitors to discover more about the county’s diverse experiences.
Developed as a key action from the Strathcona County Tourism Strategy and Implementation Plan, Go Strathco is intentionally built for travellers seeking memorable experiences and trip-planning resources.
“This is an exciting moment for the community, businesses, and our tourism partners”, said Sean McRitchie, Director of Corporate Strategy and External Relations in a media release.
“This identity helps visitors easily find the experiences that make Strathcona County unique, and it also encourages residents to champion our region when hosting friends and family.”
Go Strathco will be used across tourism marketing tools, including the Go Guide, an annual publication featuring businesses and experiences in Strathcona County.
The county has also updated the social media, there are new digital campaigns and the recently announced dedicated tourism website.
The aim of the campaign identity is designed to be action-oriented, visually engaging, and easy to recognize.
Tourism operators are encouraged to use it as a resource when engaging with clients and visitors to help navigate the county’s attractions, itineraries, seasonal highlights, and local businesses.
Strathcona County is currently in year six of a ten-year tourism strategy.
