The Willow Lake Metis Nation is inviting the community to celebrate culture and tradition at its 23rd annual Metis Festival on Saturday, September 12, at the Anzac Recreational Centre. The event will feature a talent show, jigging, fiddle performances, traditional dress, games, food arts and crafts, and more.
Stella Lavallee, President of the Willow Lake Metis Nation spoke with CFWE, sharing the excitement for the 23rd annual Metis Festival, celebrating culture, talent and community.
Lavallee speaks one the festival’s upcoming features that will include a talent show, cultural and children activities, an artisan market and more.
Lavallee says that roots run deep within Willow Lake Metis Nation and Anzac area, with the festival reflecting the strength and pride of the community through cultural celebration.
