The Maizex Corn Maze near Kitscoty is honoring Dolly Parton with a corn maze designed in her style. From August 28- 30, the attraction will host “Dolly Days,” encouraging visitors to dress in outfits inspired by Dolly Parton to receive a ticket discount.
A portion of the weekend ticket sales will be donated to the local Imagination Library program operated by the Lloydminster Learning Council, which provides free books to children from birth to age 5.
The tribute comes at a poignant time following Parton’s recent passing.
Visitors can also enjoy a variety of Dolly-themed activities, including sparkling drinks, themed treats, photo opportunities, and interactive experiences throughout the maze.
According to The MAiZE Inc., 20 farms across North America have created Dolly Parton-themed corn mazes this year to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Imagination Library. Participating locations will donate a portion of their proceeds to support local Imagination Library programs and promote early childhood literacy.
Since its launch in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has distributed more than 300 million books to children in several countries, including Canada. Each month, enrolled children receive a free, age-appropriate book delivered directly to their homes.
