RCMP say an adult and youth from Maskwacis have been charged after a midday firearms call nearby Louis Bull First Nation from earlier this month.
Mounties say that on August 6, officers were called to the area for reports of a firearm threat. The victim told police that two male suspects entered a home with a gun, threatening to shoot their son. Police found the pair of suspects at a residents close by after escaping the scene on foot.
Police found a shotgun after executing a search warrant at another home in the area.
A 23-year-old man and 17-year-old boy from Maskwacis have been charged with offences including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The youth has been released with conditions, while the 23-year-old was remanded into custody.
Both are scheduled to appear in provincial court in Wetaskiwin in September.
