The City of Grande Prairie is offering free transit for attendees of the Bear Creek Folk Festival this weekend. From August 14 to 16, those with festival wristbands can use regular transit services at no cost, along with late-evening shuttle buses after the final performances each night.
“Bear Creek Folk Festival brings people together, showcases our community, and creates an enjoyable experience for both residents and visitors,” stated City of Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton. “The city is proud to support the festival and enhance accessibility through free transit and safe transportation options throughout the weekend.”
Transit services will operate on their regular routes and schedules during the festival. The late-night shuttles will depart from transit stop 830, located near the 102 entrance to the park, at 12:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.
