An Edmonton man has been charged with sexual assault of a young child, and police believe there could be more victims.
Simon Nicholas, or known as Ambrose Nicholas, 50, was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and two counts of breaching a court order on July 29.
Officers executed search warrants from Athabasca RCMP for sexual assault on another child.
During the time of the Edmonton reports, Nicholas was subject to court-ordered conditions including prohibited contact with children under the age of 16, which restricted access to locations that children frequently go to.
In both the Edmonton and Athabasca cases, it’s reported that Nicholas presented himself as someone who could be trusted to care for young children to a parent.
Edmonton Police Service offers support to anyone affected by sexual violence through local services.
