The Edmonton Folk Festival is back for it’s 47th year!
The festival has been promoting live folk music with the purpose of celebrating diverse, affordable folk music, sharing meaningful, inclusive experiences, and building community for everyone involved!
It began in the 1980’s with just one staff member and 300 volunteers, now they have over 2600 who help the festival come to life!
Terrry Wickham is the Producer of the Edmonton Folk Festival, and he selects artist within a broad musical mandate – making sure that you get the experience of a lifetime down at Gallagher Park.
Tim spoke with Brooklin about why people keep coming back to the festival, and who you’ll get to see this year!
