Nearly two weeks after the Alberta RCMP warned the public of a convicted sex offender believed to be residing in Red Deer County, they have issued an update regarding the release of 33 year old Kyle Soloway.
Police say in the interest of public safety, the RCMP’s High Risk Offender Program (HROP) got a judicial order to place additional conditions on Soloway, and will now be electronically monitored on top of being prohibited from having weapons and being around children under the age of 16.
Soloway was convicted of sexual interference after police say he lured young teens to meet using the internet.
Police believe he may offend again.
Soloway’s picture has also been posted to Alberta’s high-risk offenders website.
